Amber's Story

Amber started Parasol Alliance with a simple goal: to shake up the tech scene in senior living. Before launching the company, she was the Senior IT Director at a non-profit retirement community, where she juggled her career and being a mom to two young kids. She asked for work flexibility, but the idea didn’t really catch on.

She saw that a lot of senior living communities were struggling with outdated tech and weak security, so in 2015, she decided to do something about it. She brought together senior living providers as partners and grew Parasol Alliance to what it is today.

Amber’s all about giving back. She offers free educational sessions for the industry, runs a mentoring program, and still finds time to mentor new employees herself. Plus, she’s stuck to her promise of creating an incredible workplace culture. Her goal has always been to create the “Happiest IT Company on Earth”.

Her dedication to building a company culture that reflects her values has definitely paid off—Parasol Alliance has snagged 28 workplace awards, including Amber winning Best & Brightest CEO in the Nation in 2024. Parasol Alliance was also awarded the #4 MSP in the world in 2022 by Channel Futures. Amber isn’t just leading in the tech world; she’s also a podcast host, a world traveler and the driving force behind a company that keeps seniors and their caregivers safe from cyber threats across more than 70 communities. She’s proof that prioritizing family and community can make a big difference.
